So when I decided to jump into a full-out big deal website, I needed somebody smart to help with design, techie-stuff, and all that. Enter my daughter who runs an awesome branding business.
One of the first things she uncovered for me, after long chats and a few worksheets, was the white rose.
The white rose is all the things I long to create with my humble words. Elegance, simplicity, purity, and hopefulness. Most of all hopefulness. It represents new beginnings, and every single time I write, there is a new beginning. It’s not bold like the red rose of love and poetry. It’s quieter.
Yes, it’s rich with symbolism for florists, Lutherans, artists, poets.
Now, it has become symbolic of my own story.
